It is simply not possible to be up on fashion and not know about Andre Leon Talley. The man who has taken Vogue magazine and revolutionize it's style as well as influenced the style of many designers. Andre Leon Talley credits his grandmother in giving him an 'understanding of luxury.' He graduated from Brown University with a masters in French Literature and soon after met and befriended Diana Vreeland who was then Vogue's fashion director. In 1983, he joined Vogue as a fashion news director and shortly after became Vogue's creative director. In 1998, he became Vogue's Editor at Large and since then has continued to influence fashion as well as promote dozens of fashion designers.
